Excursions :
There are many excursions and activities within easy shooting distance of Le Couvent. Visit not one but two UN World Heritage sites in one day - the walled City of Carcassonne and the Canal Du Midi. While away a day visiting extraordinary places redolent with Cathar history, such as the castles of Quéribus, Peyrepertuse and Montségur.
Shop in the markets of the Renaissance town of Pézenas, where Molière wrote many of his plays. Sample world-class seafood and shellfish in the fishing villages of Bages, Bouzigues, Mèze and Marseillan and Sète, Rennes-le-Château, the Pont du Gard, the Cistercian abbeys of Fontfroide and Lagrasse, the wine estates, the oyster beds, the towns of Montpellier, Narbonne, Béziers and Nîmes.
